Make a Kazakhstan Apple ID.

KZ storefront is the simplest — interface in Russian, no card required for free apps, no restrictions on Hiddify-class apps.

Sign out current Apple ID

Settings → [Your name] → Sign out. Don't worry — photos and contacts stay on the phone, you'll just stop syncing with the old account.

Create new — region Kazakhstan

On appleid.apple.com click «Create your Apple ID». Country — Kazakhstan. Address — any (you can google "Astana address"). Phone — Russian number works.

Sign in on iPhone

App Store → Profile → Sign in. Confirm — «Review» — accept the agreement. Skip the card step (choose «None»). Storefront now KZ.

Connect Selyx.

Some apps need a tunnel: ChatGPT (it bans Russian IPs), Notion (sometimes), foreign banks (always). The trial day is 1 ₽ — enough to check.

Apple ID questions.

Will I lose my photos and contacts?+

No. Photos, contacts, messages stay on the device — they're tied to the local backup, not the Apple ID. iCloud sync stops with the old account, but the data stays.

Can I have two Apple IDs at once?+

Yes — and that's the comfortable setup. iCloud → main RU ID (photos, backups). App Store → KZ ID (apps). Settings → [Your name] → Media & Purchases — switch the App Store account separately.

What about paid apps?+

Use App Store gift cards from Kazakhstan (sold on resale sites for ~5% above face value), or a friend's KZ card. Family Sharing also works.

What if Apple bans the foreign ID?+

Hasn't happened so far — they don't ban for region, only for fraud (chargebacks, multi-account abuse). With a normal KZ ID and a real phone — you're safe.

Is Selyx really required?+

For installing apps — sometimes you can do without (KZ ID + Wi-Fi is enough). For using apps like ChatGPT, Notion, foreign banks — Selyx is needed: they block Russian IPs at the API level.
